This past weekend, EllisDon Middle East and North Africa (MENA) team members laced up their running shoes and joined thousands of runners in the Terry Fox Run to mark World Cancer Day.This is the fourth year EllisDon MENA has participated in the Terry Fox Run fundraiser. This year, the event was held at Expo 2020 Dubai, starting and ending at Jubilee Park, beside the iconic Canadian Pavillion, providing a spectacular location for enthusiastic participants.

The EllisDon MENA team was selected to design, build, and maintain the Canadian Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai. The Expo, delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, officially opened on October 1, 2021, and will run until March 31, 2022. Terry Fox was a Canadian athlete, humanitarian, and cancer research activist. His journey to raise money for cancer research began in 1980 as he set out to do the impossible: run across Canada, one marathon a day, in pursuit of his dream to find a cure for cancer. All net proceeds from registration will be donated to Al Jalila Foundation to support cancer research projects in the UAE in partnership with the Terry Fox Foundation.Congratulations to everyone who took part in the Terry Fox Run!
